The PASMA Training Scheme – Overview
PASMA is an abbreviation for Portable Aerial Self-Contained Munitions and is used in place of standard PASMA qualifications. Standard PASMA qualifications are only for those people who are responsible for erecting, dismantling, storing or moving portable aerial units below 2.5 metres in height. They must also complete a full PASMA Test, including hazard analysis, evacuation plan, emergency procedures, radio communications and fire safety. All PASMA Test must be passed within 12 months of the date of issue. Click here – https://pasmatraining.uk/
Now You Can Have The Pasma Training Of Your Dreams
PASMA Training can be provided by any of the following bodies: the Portable Aerial Service Association (PASA), the Industry Research Development Association (IRDA) and the Underwriters Laboratories (UL). In the United Kingdom, the DDA publishes the Underwriter’s Handbook and the Industry Council for Accreditation of Engineering Companies (ICAC). The PASMA Training manuals are produced by the Society of Engineering Manufacturers of Great Britain (SEMB), the Portable Aerial Manufacturers Association (PAAM), the UK Air Navigation Conference Board (NACHB), the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), the Department for Transport and the Department of Works Environment and Habitat. The Naches Communications Research Institute is the UK’s independent communication organisation.
The PASMA system is designed to ensure that the operators of powered aerial work are aware of the regulations regarding their operations, and that they know how to dismantle and store their towers safely. The aim of the PASMA system is to help the industry standard training scheme members achieve a high level of competency in relation to the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2021. It also aims to reduce unnecessary dangers and consequently improve safety at work. To this end, all PASMA approved training centres are required to offer PASMA approved PASMA Training to all workers who hold a PASMA card, regardless of whether they are engaged in a commercial or civil capacity.
