One of the biggest wholesalers, Queens-based Gutlove & Shirvint, has sold millions of cartons to New York vendors over the years, including some on the Poospatuck. And a state investigator says he has seen Gutlove & Shirvint drivers deliver cigarettes directly from their trucks to smugglers on the reservation. Despite that, the company denies any involvement in smuggling.
